101 years old today

Today my grandma, Florence would’ve been 101 today.  I miss her terribly 😦
I think all my creativeness and tough as nails attitude is from her.

Joyful Foundation, an excellent cause!

“When a blanket is no longer just a blanket!”
I had the pleasure of seeing this foundation in action the other day.  AWESOMENESS!  They provide quality handmade blankets as a gift of comfort and warmth to individuals in their time of illness and hardship.  This is a 100 percent volunteer, non profit charity. I am signing up to volunteer and sew some blankets ASAP.  You can even make memorial blankets.  I would love to make up a bunch in memory of my dear friend Andre.  He loved kids and this charity focuses mainly on kids with illnesses. I wanted to share in case you know someone in need or you yourself would like to volunteer 🙂

We blessed the crash site where my friend Andre died.  Now when you driver by on the 10 fwy eastbound you will see the cross and the cactus we planted. 

Loss of a good friend :(

Today I’m sad and overwhelmed.  Why do bad things happening to good people!?  My kind and funny friend Andre Marshall was killed in a terrible big rig accident on the 10 fwy.  He was one amazing person!!

Focus Group

Today I was paid for my opinion!!  Pretty cool since I’m always giving it away for free, hahaha.  This was something new for me, very interesting.  I was asked my opinion on technology, ha!  I’m no techie, I know enough to get by.  Doing this blog would be something I’d consider “techie”.  Anyway, it was a 2 hour process, I am in need of a new laptop in the near future (90 days or less) and i was asked to tell my story from the beginning to present on how, why and what I’m doing to getting one.  Very cool!!

I got my nose pierced!

Got a call from a friend this morning asking if I would like to be the Thelma to her Louise. Of course I said yes. This was one of those things on my bucket list! It didn’t hurt as bad as I thought it would. I LOVE it, what do you guys think?
